Dickenson's Witch Hazel - Oil Controlling Wipes

PROS

Very Moist

Individually wrapped sachets

Suitable for all skin types

Oil Controlling

Not Tested on animals

CONS

No noticible difference to pores

No difference to blemishes

OVERVIEW
I found no real noticible difference other than the oil absorbing that these towlettes are advertised to do, which is good that they're effective at that.

All in all, I don't suffer too much with excess oil so these wouldn't be a repurchase for me personally. However, Dickenson's have a very large range of other skin care products that I will be checking out with the $2 coupons that also came in my Influenster VoxBox.

Brand Challenge - January 2013

Palmolive Fresh Infusions

After receiving and reviewing the contents of my First Ever INFLUENSTER Box - The Cosmo VoxBox, I received a further email requesting me to complete a survey to see if I qualified for the "Brand Challenge" and approximately 1 week later INFLUENSTER replied and said I was one of the successful candidates! Woop!

 

So, this brand challenge box contained 3..... yes THREE! 16 fl oz bottles of Palmolive's new range of dish soaps - Palmolive Fresh Infusions.

I received 3 different scents of the dish soap, along with 3 $1.50 off coupons for future purchases of Palmolive Fresh Infusions. Which you can purchase at Walmart for under $3.00 per bottle.

The first thing I loved about this particular dish soap is the brand. Palmolive has been my favorite for as long as I can remember and was also my Mother's. Secondly, I love the packaging of these new Fresh Infusions, it's definitely different from the norm and quite attractive!

INFLUENSTER asked us to share a bottle with someone, so I gave one to my Mother-In-Law ....it's always best to keep on their good side right?! ;) lol.  
I decided to pass along the Lemon Thyme scented soap to her along with one of the a coupons. She loves the scent of this one and so far has no complaints with the job it's made to do.

I myself have been alternating the Lime and Basil with the Ginger White Tea and have to say that the Lime and Basil would be my first choice between the 2 scents, although I've found neither of them to be excessively scented.

Ultimately, after now using the Palmolive Fresh Infusions for 2-3 weeks here are my Final Thoughts on this new range from Palmolive:

Innovative
Attractive packaging
Unique scents
Affordable price point
Sparkling dishes
No "chemical" scent to them

CON's
Almost too thick in consistancy
Difficult to completely rinse off
Scent could be stronger/more distinct


Give them a try for yourselfs, find out if Palmolive Fresh Infusions will be your Holy Grail of dish soaps ;)

My First Ever Influenster VoxBox

Cosmo Box

 I'd heard so much about the Influenster website I wanted to join up - I enjoy inputting reviews on their website of some products that I've used and reading others reviews.

I was ecstatic to receive an email telling me I had been selected to review and Influenster VoxBox, the Cosmo Box

So....onto the magical Cosmo VoxBox contents!!

First things first, the card with all the deets about what's inside the Cosmo VoxBox 2012 and what you should do once you've opened it :)



The first thing that caught my eye was obviously the full sized Ghirardelli chocolate bar!

This particular variety was called "Sea Salt Escape" and yes, it contained real sea salt.  The gourmet milk chocolate is melt in the mouth and the light crunch of the sea salt makes the perfect combination of sweet and salty. I will be putting a few bars of these babies in the Christmas stockings this year for sure.

The next thing to catch my eye in the Cosmo Voxbox was the Bath & Body Works Exclusive  "Forever Red" fragrance. The size of the bottle in my box was .25ml. You can find bath and body works online at  www.bathandbodyworks.com and in store at Bath and body Works.

Personally, I found the fragrance rather sweet for my liking and every one has their own taste as far as fragrances go but I did like the packaging and handbag sized bottle.

Forever Red also comes in the Shimmer Mist, Fine Fragrance Mist, Body Lotion and Shower Gel to name a few.

Next up......the 5 blade, Venus Embrace Razor by Gillette which also has a "ribbon of moisture". Also in the cute yellow bag were an extra razor Venus & Olay razor which have "Olay Moisture Bars" on the outer edges which release skin conditioners to help lock-in moisture and 5 blades for an amazingly close shave. Finally in the bag was a coupon for $2 off a purchase of the refillable AND interchangeable array of Gillette blades

 

After my first use of the Gillette Venus Embrace I really liked the shave it gave but the main thing I noticed was the super soft and moisturized feel it left on my legs!

My favorite thing about the Gillette Venus Embrace razor was the handle.  It has a "rubbery" texture to it and is ergonomically shaped which made it much easier to grip with wet hands than run-of-the-mill razors.

So far so good......

The final items in my Cosmo VoxBox were two gel pens by Pilot aptly named "FIXation". These are no ordinary gel pen as I came to find out.

The pens I received were in black and red packaging which also relates to the ink color.

They also have a funky, tribal tattoo-esque design on them. Nifty!

The FIXation pen, which is available in six colors is actually an erasable gel ink pen which is SUPER handy when completing forms or hand-writing letters or essays.  The fine tip with it's gel ink flows beautifully and helps to make handwriting look all that much more precise and neat.

All in all - I loved my first Influenster VoxBox and enjoyed trying everything out. No doubt, I'll be re-purchasing the Ghirardelli chocolate and trying out some more of their varieties as-well-as the array of Venus Embrace re-fillable razors.
